Our Story

We make cool shit.

That's the honest version. The polished version goes: we don't design for sports, we design for exposure shared across them. Both are true.

We surf. We ride. We run trails, swim cold water, and sit around fires longer than we should. Different pursuits, same state — awake, grounded, present. We kept wishing someone made gear worthy of all of it. So we started making it ourselves.

The mountain bike stuff just happened first. The Flywheel short. The Glide shirt. Built to disappear when you're deep in it, and to hold up long after most gear quits. Riders keep telling us we got it right — and we publish every one of their reviews unedited, to keep ourselves honest.

More is coming. Fewer things, made better, for every hour around the ride — before, during, after.

SMBL is short for Simple Moments, Breathe Life. It's a reminder more than a name.
